Concerns are being raised today for the well-being of children who witnessed the bludgeoning of a family member and had to run for their lives from the killer- another of their relatives who had become enraged.

The community of Frazersfield, Rocky Point in Clarendon, is now mourning the loss of three relatives, at the hands of their own blood.

Dead are Annette Lindo, a domestic helper and vendor, her son 32-year-old fisherman Lynval Henry, both of Frazersfield; and their cousin, Ingrid Keisha Lindo, a vendor of West End, Rocky Point.

The 26-year-old suspect, Annette’s son, who allegedly confessed to the killings, was reportedly found seated near the scene of one of the killings.

Preliminary reports indicate that, about 9:10 p.m. Thursday, the police were alerted to an incident at a residence in the community.

On their arrival, three persons were found with chop wounds and were later pronounced dead at the scene

The Gleaner gathered that the suspect was arrested without incident.

Residents say the children in the community, who were close to where the incident occurred, will need special attention.

“Him woman and the pickney dem up deh run out breathless come dung ya come tell we say di bwoy chop out him breda head and a run dem down… . Dem come and tell dem nuh go up deh and one weh end up dead (Ingrid) go up deh go make him behead her. The community nah go be the same,”a resident told The Gleaner.

ANGERED RESIDENTS

Tensions boiled over Friday morning in Rocky Point when angry residents attempted to exact justice on the suspect who was tightly guarded by the police.

The police were back in the community early yesterday, as the daylight presented a better opportunity to examine the scene, and seized items of evidential value.

There are however conflicting reports around the suspect’s mentally state.

“We never see him behave so. If him have a problem a worry him, nobody nuh know a wah because him earn him own money. A one a di youth dem weh love the sea and save him money. We nuh know where this come from… all next year the community still nuh get over this,” a resident said.

Another resident told The Gleaner that the suspect has not been the same since the death of his father a few years ago.

“Sometime people go through pressure silently and when things boil over they freak out. Inna di Christmas here mi never know mi would live to see this,” she told The Gleaner.

The newspaper gathered that the suspect was seen by medics as recently as Thursday for his condition.

The Gleaner understands also that the suspect was spotted with a machete during the day of the incident and allegedly implied that he was going to hurt someone.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and is continuing enquiries to establish the sequence of events that led to the deaths of the three relatives.

Law enforcement has asked that persons with information that may assist the investigation contact the May Pen CIB at 876-832-2077, the police 119 emergency numbers, or the nearest police station.
