PJ's ghost haunts Shaw

THE EDITOR, Sir:
I hate to always pick on the good finance minister, Audley Shaw, but did I hear him mention in the recent sitting of the House of Representatives that he would like to impose upon the people of Jamaica a small tax on all electricity users to expand the street-light programme in underserved communities?
Is not this a similar suggestion to the one made by P.J. Patterson some years ago when he was finance minister?
I shake my head. It seems to me that what was put on the back burner has now come to haunt us all.
