Nurse Sandra Lindsay and her brother, Garfield, were guests of Clarendon Central Member of Parliament Mike Henry at a special function celebrating Jamaica’s Independence, and welcoming home the director of nursing, who was the first person to take the COVID-19 vaccine in the United States. Lindsay, who hails from Clarendon and migrated to the United States in 1986, used the occasion to appeal to Jamaicans to join in the fight against the debilitating virus by taking the vaccine.
