Whyte, Green fail to make 400m hurdles final

Jamaica’s duo of Annsert Whyte and Leford Green have failed in their bid to progress to the final of the men’s 400m hurdles set for Tuesday at 7:25 a.m.
Despite his season best effort of 48.90 national champion, Whyte, placed seventh in his semi-final heat.
The race was won by Kenya’s Boniface Mucheru Tumuti (48.29) ahead of America’s Kerron Clement (48.50).
Green was sixth in his heat with a time of 49.59 behind winner Michael Tinsley of the USA in 48.47.
The fastest qualifier for the final is Russia’s Dennis Kudryavtsev, who won heat one in 48.23.
