#BudgetDebates2018: Opposition Leader to make presentation this afternoon

Opposition Leader Dr Peter Phillips, is to make his contribution to the budget debate in the House of Representatives this afternoon.

It will be the first time he makes a presentation in the debate as Opposition Leader.

Phillips is expected to be highly critical of the government’s performance since taking office, based on the presentation of his colleague, Opposition spokesman on finance Mark Golding, on Tuesday.

In his budget presentation Golding ripped into the government’s handling of taxation and the wage negotiations with public sector workers.

Golding also said the Government had not demonstrated fully how it would achieve its growth targets.
