Trelawny man charged for gun attack while allegedly posing as police

A Trelawny man accused of posing as the police and carrying out a gun attack has been charged.

Twenty-three-year-old Murice Rose, otherwise called 'Romario', a delivery man of Panasus district in Clarks Town, is charged with burglary, wounding with intent, and shooting with intent.

His court date is being finalised.

The incident happened in Red Hills, Clarks Town

The Falmouth police report that about 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, Rose and other men went to the mentioned address pretending to be police officers.

They kicked open the front door of the dwelling and opened gunfire at one of the complainants, according to the police.

They then escaped on a stolen motorcycle.

Rose was subsequently arrested.

The police say he was pointed out during an identification parade and later charged.
