Decomposing body of St Thomas man reported missing found in bushes

The body of a St Thomas man who was reported missing has been found in bushes in a state of decomposition.

He has been identified by the police as 53-year-old labourer Donald Minott of Harbour Head Road in Port Morant.

The discovery was made on Sunday.

The police indicated that Minott was reported missing on January 12.

The police reported that around 6:00 a.m., information was received that a body was found in bushes along Harbour Head Road.

A police team was sent to the area, and the body was seen.

The man’s body was subsequently removed, with a post-mortem expected to be conducted.

The Morant Bay Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the matter.
