Apology

In The Gleaner's December 31, 2009 edition, an article appeared entitled 'Look out for 'ambulance chasers' - US Attorney warns Flight 331 victims'.

After further investigation, The Gleaner accepts that its readers could draw an inference from that article that Manuel Von Ribbeck, a Chicago-based attorney-at-law and his firm Ribbeck Law Chartered were 'ambulance chasers' whom the airline passengers should 'look out for'.

The Gleaner also accepts that this inference is unfounded and untrue and apologises to Mr Manuel Von Ribbeck and his firm Ribbeck Law Chartered for any damage suffered to his good name and character of his firm. The Gleaner now understands that Mr Manuel Von Ribbeck and his firm Ribbeck Law Chartered have successfully represented and championed the causes of victims of aviation tragedies worldwide for nearly two decades.
