Spanish Ambassador Celsa Nuño's first official reception in the Second City was well received by the business community that turned out to toast her at cocktails at the RIU Montego Bay last Friday night.
Days after her first meeting with the city's dignitaries and heads of commerce, including Mayor Charles Sinclair, Custos Ewen Corrodus and Chamber of Commerce President Patrick Casserly, Ambassador Nuño was back in the tourism capital sipping Merlot and mingling with the city's socialites.
Alluding to the multibillion-dollar Spanish investments in the country, she declared, "We are here to stay".
The ambassador, who replaced the affable Jesús Silva, says she has all intentions of continuing to build on the strong foundation left by her predecessor.
