Junction Pharmacy 'the pharmacy with a heart', situated in Junction, St Elizabeth, celebrated its 30th anniversary on August 17. To mark this event, a thanksgiving service was held on Sunday, August 26 at St Marks Anglican Church in Southfield, St Elizabeth.

The much-anticipated Customer Appreciation Day was on Tuesday, August 28. This saw a number of activities throughout the day as customers and well-wishers came out to support the first pharmacy in that section of southern St Elizabeth.

St Elizabeth Health Department was present with its Wellness Mobile Clinic offering free blood pressure checks, Body Mass Index, blood sugar and HIV tests to patrons. Nutritional counselling was also available.

Facey Commodity Pharmaceutical Division and Indies Pharma had booths displaying their products and giving samples.

One of the grateful clients from the nearby district of Genas remarked, " This pharmacy really know how to take care of you."

Customers were given the opportunity to win gift baskets with purchases and other tokens during the trivia section.

There were entertainment and refreshments and in the words of a customer Paulette Rochester, "Thirty years in business is no 'pyaa, pyaa' business, it's something to celebrate."
