US film crew shoots documentary on Edge

WESTMORELAND:An international film crew involved in the Iron Man 3 movie project is currently in Jamaica working with reggae musician Edge Michael to film a documentary on his life and work.
In a bid to highlight Edge Michael and revolutionise the way his music and image are projected locally and internationally, the singer teamed up with The Savvy Group of NC (North Carolina), United States of America, to film a music video of his upcoming album in addition to a documentary.
"We want to showcase a different side to Edge with this project that we are working on with him," Jean Antoniades said of the US-based production group. The six-member team will be in the island for one week.
"His music is inspiring, and we love what he projects as an artiste, so the chemistry in working with him came naturally. We are also fans of his music, and this project, once completed, will definitely set him apart from others in the business," Antoniades stated further.
Edge Michael, whose real name is Oral Durloo, explained that his intention is to continue developing his brand and expand his musical reach, especially with the upcoming album scheduled to be released on March 20, 2013.
"I am always looking at ways to develop brand Edge Michael, and this is a major step in cementing my brand in the marketplace. So I am just encouraging the fans to stay abreast of the developments because it's going to be something special," the musician promised.
Edge is also the nephew of famed musical legend Peter Tosh but has managed to establish himself as a credible reggae star on the rise who has toured extensively in Europe and the US.
"I have a single out now called Kill-Some City that is doing fairly well on the airwaves. I just want to encourage Jamaicans to support the music and be a part of the movement to keep reggae music relevant," said the Westmoreland-born singer.
The Savvy Group of NC is a diverse service management company that specialises in film production, personal concierge, and homeowner services.
