Bring Back the Love for MoBay
Western Bureau:In a bid to add some amount of diversify and new flavour to the region's entertainment, Anchor Promotions will be hoisting their flag on the region's musical landscape on Saturday, November 3, with what promises to be a glitzy showdown of rich music.
The event dubbed, Bring Back the Love, Bring Back the Peace, will be staged at the scenic Aqua Sol Theme Park along the Montego Bay Hip Strip, the hub of entertainment outside of Reggae Sumfest, which is staged at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Centre.
The interesting line-up, which offers a blend of youth and experience, will feature the likes of the provocative Tanya Stephens, former Digicel Rising Star standout Shuga, the legendary Ken Boothe, prolific hit-maker Mackie Conscious and Thriller-U of LUST fame.
"This endeavour is designed to bolster and vary the entertainment product currently on offer," said novelist/writer JJ Gumbs, the CEO of Anchor Promotions. "This is quite a lovely package; it has something for just about every music lover."
Bring Back the Love, Bring Back the Peace, which was conceptualised to be an annual affair, is seeking to join already established promotions such as Reggae Sumfest, the International Dancehall Queen Contest and the biannual Off Tha Wall, as major events on the region's entertainment calendar.
Having selected the line-up with known crowd-pleasers the promoters should make an indelible mark on the fans.
Part proceeds from the event will go towards the Montego Bay Pregnancy Resource Centre.
