Emann children enthrall
Western Bureau:Powerful Children in Action was an evening of fun, laughter, and entertainment as the students of Emann Preparatory and Kindergarten School showed off their talent to everyone's delight at the Montego Bay Civic Centre on Sunday.
The event, which is in its fifth year, featured some of the best talents from the Sunset Boulevard-based school. The audience was treated to dances, skits, and musical pieces, which delighted the parents and well-wishers who were in attendance.
While all the pieces were well-received, seven-year-old Keziah Harrison's solo dance piece, 'For Every Mountain' and a skit, 'It Hard', which was performed by third-grader Dahlia Wallace, will live long in the memories of those present.
BETTER EVERY YEAR
"It gets better every year. This is our way of not only celebrating the festive season, but to also give them a stage to showcase their talent," Ileania Whittingham née Barclay, founder and principal of the 10-year-old institution, told Western Focus. "It shows how multi-talented our students are, and we are not prepared to allow these talents to go to waste."
Emann Preparatory and Kinder-garten was founded in June 2002 and started operations with 19 students and two teachers. Today, its student population stands at 187 with a staff of 10 teachers, plus support staff.
