MBCC's Guise gets award

Western Bureau:Dittie Guise, SMG's general manager of the Montego Bay Convention Centre (MBCC), has been awarded Black Meetings & Tourism Magazine's 2013 APEX Award for Distinguished Service.

With more than 35 years of senior leadership experience in the meetings and conventions industry, Guise has been the general manager of the MBCC since it opened for business in 2011.

She has held key positions at several large convention centres.

The award will be presented to Guise at Travel Professionals of Colour's 11th annual conference on July 31 at the Hyatt Regency, Trinidad.
