- East Portmore Portals, Bridgeport final
East Portmore Portals earned the right to meet Bridgeport in the final of the Colin Fagan-sponsored Portmore Division Two knockout football competition, after their 3-1 victory over Greater Portmore at Ferdie Neita Park last Sunday.
Demetri Dunkley, Andre Duncan and Nicholas McKinley all scored for the Patrick Dunkley-coached East Portmore Portals. Marvin Robinson scored for Greater Portmore. Bridgeport had booked their spot in the championship game a week earlier, with a 1-0 win over Westchester. The date for the final will be announced shortly.
- Semi-final action in Trelawny netball league
Jackson Town Primary School will be buzzing tomorrow with semi-final action in the in-augural Trelawny Netball Association/SDC netball league.
In the first match at 3 p.m., Zone A winners Albert Town Infinity will be looking to extinguish Zone B runners-up Bounty Hall Blazers A. Infinity will be without one of their top shooters, Medeana Mendez, who is away in Canada, but will be banking on Onekia Williams (GA), Shanneil Smith (GS), captain Tamoy Clark (WA), Sherine Richards (C), Shanika McKenzie (WD), Shavaree Fisher (GD) and Chenieka Dixon (GK) to get past Bounty Hall Blazers A, which will be led by captain Keila Henry (GS), Judian Oliver (GA), Niajah Smart (WA), Carla Bent (C), Kenniesha Irving (WD), Dennieka Lee (GD), and Shelly-Ann Wallace (GK).
In the second match at 4 p.m., Zone B winners Falmouth United will be aiming to stop Zone A runners-up Clark's Town. The Falmouth line-up should read Karen Hamilton (GS), captain Cassandra Morgan (GA), Julian Rose (WA), Keino Johnson (C), Ajana Morrison (WD), Marsha Rodney (GD), and Karen Robinson (GK). The Clark's Town team will be led by former national Under-16 representative, Cerene Wallace (GA), and should have the likes of Monique Gallimore (GS), Tracy-Ann Barnett (WA), the 'wassy' Trisan Tulloch (C), Kelisha Dennis (WD), Shedisha Johnson (GD), and Meisha Coley (GK).
