A King's feast
More than 200 Flow customers converged at the Courtleigh Auditorium on Sunday night as Flow and HBO partnered to host a fan experience and viewing party for the premiere of Season 4 of HBO's Game of Thrones. The team at Flow created a multi-sensory experience, transporting guests into the medieval ages depicted in the epic television series that takes place in the fantasy continent of Westeros.
Lorraine Fung laid out a feast fit for the King of the Iron Thorne - the ultimate ruler of Westeros. With the food stations titled to represent the ruling Houses of the Seven Kingdoms, who are all battling for that symbol of power, everyone was kept full and satisfied.
From the house of Targaryen was the dragon tempura (tempura fish cubes - spicy noodles served in a Wonton Cup).
The House of Lannister boasted King's Landing Pork Belly (grilled jerked pork belly on fried polenta balls - with a pop of cranapple slaw).
Other items included:
Tyrion's sausage canapés (grilled jerked sausage canapés - garnished with tomato and parsley).
The House of Baratheon - King Robert's honey roasted chicken (honey roasted chicken thigh on brabant creme potato).
Renly's stuffed plantain cups (fried plantain cups stuffed with cheese), the Unsullied (Vegetarian).
Theon's spicy corn balls with mixed fruit dips to complement.
Tyrell's veggie lasagne with callaloo and three beans.
Dothraki's salmon log served with crackers and a cheese platter.
Wildlings nomadic pasta (calypso pasta with chunks of honey-glazed ham and slivers of apple).
And for the sweet treats, there were Arya's lemon tarts, Sansa's strawberry treats, and Catelyn's delight.
There was more than enough to feed the masses and keep them satisfied.
