Mugabe honours election chief

Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe has awarded a medal to the country’s election chief as talks to resolve the nation’s political crisis enter a third day.



Mugabe honoured George Chiweshe, the head of the Zimbabwe Election Commission and other ex-military officers.



Mr. Chiweshe has recently been criticised for his handling of the country\'s recent polls.



The election campaign was accompanied by violence that claimed the lives of more than 100 people and displaced hundreds of thousands.
