All branches of Victoria Mutual Building Society (VMBS) will be opened one hour later today after a “technology outage” delayed their opening, according to an advisory sent to account holders.

The advisory did not provide details about the outage, but said a team is actively working to restore all services.

Opening time for VMBS branches was pushed back to 10 a.m. on Friday while closing time is now set at 4 p.m.

VMBS also indicated to account holders that online banking, automated banking machines and point-of-sale transactions are “currently unavailable”.

“We will provide an update at 10 a.m. on when these services will be available,” the advisory said, while apologising for the resulting disruptions.

The financial institution also signalled to account holders that they could experience longer wait times during in-branch visits.
