In response to the severe impact of Hurricane Melissa, technology brand TCL said it will donate 100 televisions to assist communities across Jamaica affected by the storm. The donation aims to support the restoration of essential services in schools, shelters, community centres, and households that rely on access to information, education, and communication.

Hurricane Melissa caused widespread damage, displacing families and disrupting access to vital resources. “As part of its commitment to community development and social responsibility, TCL is contributing technology that will help reconnect affected areas with reliable sources of information and support their rebuilding efforts,” the company said in a communiqué.

The televisions will be distributed in partnership with local organisations that are coordinating relief and rehabilitation programmes across the island. “This initiative aligns with TCL’s ongoing commitment to global goodwill, regional development, and meaningful community support,” the company said.
