What next, Peter?
The Editor, Sir:
Considering that Dr Peter Phillips is the point man for the People's National Party (PNP) on extradition affairs, and now that the attorney general has signed the extradition document, one would almost expect him to lead his troops, including the Opposition leader, into Tivoli Gardens to arrest Christopher Coke and turn him over to the courts.
For him to say that the prime minister's action has compromised the facts of the case, is not only malicious, but very unfair. He should be reminded that the prime minister is also the member of parliament for west Kingston, which makes him responsible to the people of Tivoli Gardens. No one is in agreement with the prime minister to support criminality in Tivoli, or preventing the execution of the law, but what is being supported is the fact that he wants the United States to present clear and unambiguous evidence so that this matter can be resolved.
It is also laughable to hear Dr Phillips and his other party associates accusing the Government of destroying the "good name of our country". Have they forgotten what "they" have done to our beloved country, and the condition that they left it in?
