NWC at it again
The Editor, Sir:
I never knew I would be writing so soon after my 1-888 NWC letter last week. I never knew my $2,000 water bill could leap to $23,000, due April, to $28,000, due May 24, even as I was complaining to you and Mr Charles Buchanan. I never knew I'd get a water bill on Friday, June 11, amounting to $35,000, due June 23.
I really never knew that as a retired teacher (absolutely no money) and now an NWC victim, I would be washed up like this. If this continues, sir, I'll be drowned in no time. I'm going to write Mr Buchanan again because I don't have the fare to go to his office to demonstrate.
Never say never
I paid a plumber to check the leak again and there is never a costly leak like this in this one-person house and I never used so much water in my life.
Mr Editor, do you think I can say NWC will never come to cart me off for I'm broke? The moral of this NWC story is: Never say never. I never knew this could happen to me for I've been a good citizen and a JP for many years.
I am, etc.,
BLAKE CARNEGIE
