Change political debate format

THE EDITOR, Sir:
The quality of the political debates has been affected by:
1. The poor debate format.
2. The weak question quality.
3. The moderators' robotic role.
4. The debaters' competence.
As such, my view is that the debates have been poor, weak and robotic. A total review of the entire debating exercise is needed, including the committee and its leadership.
The time for change is at hand.
