Chelsea crashes out of FA cup
Back-to-back FA Cup winners Chelsea crashed out of this year's tournament after conceding a 119th-minute equaliser and then losing a penalty shootout to Everton at Stamford Bridge in England today.
After a goalless 90 minutes in the fourth-round replay, Frank Lampard gave the holders the lead in the first-half of extra-time before Leighton Baines curled home a superb 25-yard free-kick to take the match to a shootout.
In the shoot-out, both sides missed once before Ashley Cole fired over and Phil Neville slotted home for a 4-3 triumph.
The reward for David Moyes's men is a meeting with Championship outfit Reading at Goodison Park on March 1, and they are now only four wins away from avenging their 2009 defeat by Chelsea in the final of this competition.
